Sequential Image

  Sequential Image

Our first tasks in the first week were to do sequential images. We worked in a group of three people. Our idea was to show the body movement of each of us. The inspiration was a couples photos found on internet by Eadweard Muybridge. Eadweard Muybridge was an English photographer important for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion, and early work in motion-picture projectionHe continued studying motion, taking thousands of photos of animals and people in various stages of motion. Muybridge also contributed to early motion-picture projection when he created the "zoopraxiscope." This was a spinning disc with various sequential photos printed around the edges, which when spun around gave the illusion of animation. It took us about 15 minutes to create all these frames. Then i uploaded them to Google drive and from there to the Contact sheet generator. And well done.

EQUENTIAL MOTION PHOTO INSPIRED BY EADWEARD MUYBRIDGE

The first collection of photos, hand movements. They move in their own rhythm, touching each other . Stroking each other, joining into one whole.

The next sequential images is the movement of the head- is forward and backward. Without moving any other part of the body.

The last set of photos consist of movements with almost the entire body. A little body dance. Also if you look closely, in addition to the movement of body, there are emotions on the face. Most of the photos contain a smile, which in this case means joy. The human body is in a relaxed and satisfied state- which brings peace and inner joy.
