My name is Oleksandra Berezynets and i from Ukraine. I study in DMUIC in IYZ Art and Design. Since my childhood i have been interested in drawning, namely the structure of building. So a couple years ago i decided that i wanted to study as an architecture in England. My favorite type of art is oil painting. This is something i can work on for hours without losing interest. 

Guangzhou Opera House is a Chinese opera house in Guangzhou. Designed by Zaha Hadid, it opened on 9 May in 2010.

 One of my favorite modern architecture is Zaha Hadid. Her work is amazing and breathtaking.

                Architect Zaha Hadid gave shape to this structure so that resembled two stones on the bank of Pearl River. The design of the Opera House is a unique exploration of contextual urban relationships Zaha Hadid Architects, combining the cultural traditions that have shaped the history of Guangzhou, with the ambition and optimism that will create its future. The design evolved from the concepts of a natural landscape and the fascinating interplay between architecture and nature, agreeing with the principles of erosion, geology and topography. The design of the Guangzhou Opera has been particularly influenced by river valleys and how they are transformed by erosion. Fold lines in this landscape define territories and zones within the Opera House, both inside and outside dramatic canyons for circulation, lobbies and cafes are created, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the building. Smooth transitions between disparate elements and different levels continue this landscape analogy.

Girl with the Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer

              As i mentioned earlier i am inspired by oil paintings. My favorite one, is a "Girl with the Pearl Earring" from the Nederland painter Johns Vermeer. I even reading a historical novel  written by Tracy Chevalier in 1999. The writer was inspired by this picture and wrote her own story how everything could have been. The book was also filmed.

                    Girl with a Pearl Earring is Vermeer’s most famous painting. It is not a portrait, but a ‘tronie’ – a painting of an imaginary figure. Tronies depict a certain type or character; in this case a girl in exotic dress, wearing an oriental turban and an improbably large pearl in her ear.Johannes Vermeer was the master of light. This is shown here in the softness of the girl’s face and the glimmers of light on her moist lips. And of course, the shining pearl.
