Art Portfolio ONE: Project Statement

Project Statement 

For my Art Portfolio 1, I am designing a fashion design studio which will be a design space for students and it will have a workshop, washroom facilities, office areas and canteen and I will create 6 2D outcomes which will be the west, east, north and south elevation. For that, I will draw all the outcomes and use watercolours to add colours.  I will also create a 3D model using wood, which I will research to choose the best one for a stable structure, glass for the windows and metal to sustain the structure. This project was inspired by the De stijl art and the Bauhaus building. The De stijil art inspired me because it shows geometric forms and is very modern and abstract. The Bauhaus building inspires me because it shows well industrialism because of how it is build with steel, concrete and glass. It is very modern.
